I recently had a fantastic stay at a charming cottage in Derbyshire. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a generous welcome pack and felt the warm hospitality right until the end of my stay. The cottage itself was fully equipped with everything I needed and had a cozy, rustic feel to it. I particularly loved the underfloor heating and the gas fire, which added a homely touch. The location was perfect, situated right by the Limestone Way footpath, and the reserved parking made it convenient for exploring the area. Despite a few minor issues mentioned by previous guests, such as the shower temperature and the lack of outlook from the windows, I personally didn't find these to be major drawbacks. I had a wonderful experience at Chestnut Farm Holiday Cottages, and I would highly recommend it to others.

My partner and I had a fantastic weekend getaway at Chestnut Farm, staying in their charming countryside cottage. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Peak District and taking long walks. The cottage itself was cozy and rustic, with thoughtful touches and attention to detail throughout. We were pleasantly surprised to find basic ingredients, such as milk, wine, and snacks, provided upon our arrival. The hosts were friendly and accessible, making our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend Chestnut Farm for a memorable and relaxing stay in the countryside.

The property felt like a cozy home away from home with all the necessary amenities for a self-catering stay. The location was quiet and rural, providing a peaceful atmosphere. I appreciated the comfortable beds and the underfloor heating in the cottage.
I was hoping for a more secluded location, but it turned out that the owner's family lived nearby and frequently passed by our accommodation, which affected our sense of privacy. The outdated cooker and microwave, as well as the urgent maintenance needed for the main bedroom window, were also drawbacks.

The cottage we stayed in was very clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals, and there were even some provisions in the fridge to get us started. the shower was a good size and had plenty of hot water, and the complimentary shower gel and soap were a nice touch. the welcome pack of wine and biscuits was also greatly appreciated. the location of the cottage was quiet and peaceful, making for a relaxing weekend getaway.
There were a few drawbacks to our stay. the heating system in the cottage was located in the bedroom cupboard, which came on unexpectedly during the night.

For the money we paid, we got amazing value and a cozy room that felt just like home. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions and plenty of parking space. The staff, especially Liz, were incredibly helpful, keeping us informed and responding quickly to our messages.
The breakfast experience could have been better with a wider variety of options.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, with charming original features that made it feel like a real home away from home. The fully equipped kitchen was a bonus, as we were able to cook our own meals during our stay. The location was perfect, tucked away in a peaceful area but still within walking distance of local amenities. Plus, it was just a short drive to some amazing attractions and days out that we thoroughly enjoyed.
There wasn't anything in particular that we didn't like about our stay. A log burner would have been a nice addition, creating a cozy atmosphere, and a downstairs toilet would have been convenient.
